This band of "béarnais"
singers has been created in 1979, and is composed of fifteen members,
united by the same hobbies : songs, music and friendship. The name
"Ouzoum" comes from the river of the valley, and its source
is located in the "cirque of litor" near from the "col
du soulor", in the west-south of France (near PAU and LOURDES).
The songs are sometimes issued of traditional repertory of bearn,
or old unknowned pieces, ours compositions, or also from actual
bands.
Text subjects are often linked to
the beauty of this mountain country , its quality of life, but talk
in occitan of friends, of the happyness to be together,to make this
little story alive as long as possible.
